Fairies of the Forest

Fairies of the Forest was a big success. 71 one letterboxers under one pavilion to search and hunt plastic containers hidden in the woods. Most of the clues were so elusive that teaming up with others was beneficial. We received many exchanges and met a lot of new faces to go with familiar names. The personal Travelers are a hoot. These are like personal trivia questions for each person.

The day started out cold. Just 44 degrees, after a week that had been in the high 70's and low 80's. It felt so cold until the sun popped out and we moved a few Picnic tables out into the sun. The boys were coatless by noon. They were running all around and having a blast.

We finally got out on the trail and teamed up with Condo and Team Rabbit. Without them we would not have been very successful. There is something to be said for the West Coast boxers. They sure do know how to write clues. They are not easy clues either.

The event stamp was 5x7. a huge glorious carve. I just cannot imagine being able to carve something like this. simply incredible.

It turned into a very nice day. around 55 degrees for most of it, once the sun came out.

After the event was over. Condo clued me in on another box not too far away. SO off to find the Whites Wooden Bridge. It is the Oldest Wooden covered bridge still in daily use in MIchigan. It was Gorgeous. I am so glad that some historical things still exist even though modernizing would make it more efficient. It is a single lane wooden structure that has risers to drive on that makes you realize that horse and carriages came across this same bridge so many years ago.

very cool indeed.

It was a Great Day.
