Our day in Brighton

Our day in Brighton started off wet. But all was good because we were prepared with our umbrellas. We went to the Yum-Yum tree to meet some other letterboxers. We call this a mini-meet. This mini-meet soon turned into a gathering with as many as 50 people showing up. It was crazy. we stamped for hours and then finally after all our fingers were inky we went to hunt boxes. It was a great time.
Downtown Brighton has a play structure called Imagination Station. I think the kids could have played there for an eternity. It was a hot and sunny say once the morning rain cleared off. We found a store (while looking for a box) the sold duck food. Feeding the ducks was a treat itself. They are so used to humans that they come right to you. They come so close it is tempting to reach out and touch them.
One of the boxes that I had hid the night before at a church was almost unobtainable because who'd a thunk that there would be a wedding at a church on a Saturday?! Not very smart on my part huh.
I met some nice people and seen some familiar faces and went through a lot of ink. The only downside is that shortly before leaving, Jumpin Jax dropped our container of stamps. We recovered everything or so we thought. A few days later we were out boxing and Avatar Sams Avatar Signature stamp and my cat eye ink tower is missing. =( . I dont know who is more disappointed me or Sam. I have to try to find another photo to carve. I cannot find the same image that I had used before.
So tonight will be carving night. another new signature stamp to be made. Maybe i will get a new one for Jumping Jax too his is made from so inexpensive rubber and is starting to crumble. Hmmm.....wonder what image he wants?
