Swimming...

With the weather soaring up over 85 degrees we had two great days of swimming. On Sunday we went to Rocky's on the point. What a nice setting. There was a gentle breeze blowing, with waves crashing on the sea wall, and the sound of water being splashed by the kids, it couldn't get much better. we had good conversation and a family moment where we tried to re-create our wedding photo.

The kids were amazed that the rock that they look at everyday in our living room was right there in front of them. So we took a family photo.

After lots of swimming we decided that it was our time to go.

it was a great stress free day...

Then came Monday. after breakfast we loaded up and went to Grandma and Papa house.

It didn't take long before the two oldest kiddos were in the pool. Our youngest still to young to get in on his own, was getting over heated. So I dove in and met him in the shallow end, where he was able to get in and hang out with me. It didn't take long for him to cool off enough that the flushed redness of his face disappeared. It was a refreshing swim. The kids were turning into fish.

Lulu and I played with my old batons after drying off. this was quite funny because it has been 20 years since I twirled. I couldn't even remember my old routines. I gotta look around for some old notebooks that has them written down. what a shame.

we are down to our last days of summer and hopes for a family vacation are waning, but hope is still on the horizon. Even if we just hit Grand Rapids again. That would be fine with me, especially, since Grand Haven is only a few minutes away.
