Just what are "Boxing Buddies" you ask. Well it is like a foreign exchange student but this is a stuffed animal that goes on our adventures with us. It has its own logbook and stamp and even a Blog that is used by the owner to keep tabs on their buddy.
The kids and I went to Target and found stuffed animals on clearance for $1.48. So now we have 3 "boxing buddies" to mail to a host family to take letterboxing with them.
Hopefully we will be able to find a family in another state and get some neat stamps.
Our kids are known in the Letterboxing world as: Princess Tiger Lily who is 8, Her buddy is a brown dog named Scruffy. Stryker the spider who is 5 picked out a cute triceratops dinosaur whom he named Chopper. Han Solo is 3, he picked out a cute boxer dog and named him Butter, who then became Peanut Butter.
It will be fun to see where these travel to and the stories they will share.
Hopefully they will have many travels =)
